ROMA Heating & Cooling Ltd is a Burnaby-based heating and gas contractor that has served homes and businesses across Greater Vancouver since 1999. We repair, install and maintain gas furnaces, boilers, combi boilers, tankless and tank water heaters, gas fireplaces and gas lines — plus heat pumps, air conditioning and ventilation — for detached homes, townhouses, condos and commercial properties from Vancouver to the Fraser Valley.

Our story

ROMA started in 1999 with a simple commitment: do heating work properly, explain it honestly, and be the company people call again. More than twenty-five years later, that is still how we measure ourselves. The business has grown from residential furnace and boiler calls into full-service heating, hot water and cooling for homeowners, landlords, strata corporations and commercial clients — but the jobs we are proudest of are still the ordinary ones: a furnace brought back on a cold night, a boiler replaced in a heritage house without wrecking the radiators, a water heater swapped cleanly with the permit pulled and the old tank hauled away.

Greater Vancouver’s housing stock keeps that work interesting. Vancouver Specials and character homes with basement suites, hot-water radiator systems in New Westminster, towers and townhomes in Burnaby and Richmond, hillside homes on the North Shore and acreages in Langley and Abbotsford all ask different questions of a heating system. Our technicians have seen most of them, and we plan every job around the house in front of us rather than a one-size answer.

Our team is the backbone of the company. ROMA’s technicians bring more than 25 years of combined field experience and handle gas, hydronic and cooling systems of every age — from decades-old boilers to current condensing equipment. Every technician is licensed, bonded and insured, and we invest in ongoing training so the team keeps pace with new equipment, controls and code requirements.

• TSBC-licensed gas contractor — Gas LGA0202903. Gas work is permitted and inspected as the code requires.
• TECA-certified — trained to the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association’s installation standards.
• Red Seal-certified technicians with continuing training.
• Licensed, bonded and insured on every job.

3. Upfront pricing — you approve a written, flat-rate price before work begins. No hidden fees. Estimates on new installations are free.
4. Professional work — installation or repair to code, with permits and inspections handled where the job requires them.
5. Follow-up — we stay available after the job and offer maintenance to keep the system running well.

Safety comes first

Every gas appliance we touch is checked for safe combustion and venting. If you ever smell gas, get everyone out of the house, don’t operate switches, and call FortisBC’s emergency line and 911 from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds or people feel headachy or nauseous, leave the home and call 911. Once it is safe, we can find and fix the cause.
